Bangalore: Sometimes no matter how bad your state is and how desperately you need to stick to your job, but there are certain times when you reach the end of the rope and just have to say goodbye to the job that you can no longer stand. Well most of the time it is, serve your notice period and leave. But some are so happy leaving their bad job or boss that their process of quitting will be very inventive.

So here we are presenting a few creative ways that people have quit their job. But please remember that burning bridges isn't always an ideal way to move on. But sometimes it feels so good!

1. Resignation on a cake

You can write a complete cover letter of your resignation on a cake and present it to your boss like how Neil Berrett of San Francisco did. In the letter, Berrett wrote: "Dear Mr. Bowers - During the past three years, my tenure at the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard has been nothing short of pure excitement, joy and whim."

"However, I have decided to spend more time with my family and attend to health issues that have recently arisen. I am proud to have been part of such an outstanding team and I wish this organization only the finest in future endeavors.

"Please accept this cake as notification that I am leaving my position with NWT on March 27. Sincerely, W. Neil Berrett".

2. Book

This sends a more subtle message. Just come into work on Friday afternoon reading this book. I think your boss will know what's coming on Monday.

3. Poster board

Why use a tiny scrap of paper when you can utilize all the space on a poster board? They?re going to regret making you want to quit with an idea this smart

4. Via dry erase board
